Butlers Venue Bar is Gloucesters Premier music venue!!!!!!

Butlers is a privatley owned company, operated within Gloucester, for the City of Gloucester and its visitors!

This site has been a haven for Partying for years, back in the day called "CORKERS", and better known as "The Steam Rock Cafe", before being called "Butlers Wine and Ale house", then "Butlers of Gloucester", and now proudly sports the name;  Butlers Venue Bar........ and although we do say this ourselves........ We are the ONE, the ONLY,  Venue to PAAARTY, within the Gloucester boundaries =D.

I bought the lease for Butlers Venue Bar, on November the 27th 1997 from a owner brewery company called "Inn Partnership", being the tender age of 19-20 no high street banks would lend me the ingoing monies to purchase the lease from the Brewery. I worked here as a duty manager, and after almost 12 months of searching for funding, it was my Mum who lent me the monies to purchase the lease..... ( bless her   :)

We started working out of the constraints of operating within a brewery set up, and doing what we knew Gloucester City residents wanted from a Venue like Butlers.....

We have continued to grow the business for almost 14 years, inwardly investing almost a million pounds on the concept we believed Butlers should be, but more importantly deserved!

It was 2009 when we had the opportunity to purchase the free hold out right, and after searching the market place, we are very proud to announce that we secured £1.3,000,000.00  ( Yes, 1.3 million =D) and we continue to enjoy the support of the most important people in the club..... YOU THE CUSTOMER, to which I personally will always be indebted too, because without you, all of this would have been pointless!!.....   the rest they say is history!!!!!  =D
